Enhanced Aluminum Extrusion Capabilities Provide Greater Design Flexibility to Architects and Engineers.
Lakeland, Florida – July 8, 2010
Keymark Corporation, North America’s premier full service aluminum extrusion manufacturer, announced today that their new 14” circle size press is fully operational. The press will enable architects and engineers to design larger, more detailed extrusions, with the width and precision not previously available in the marketplace. The extra capacity and size will also propel Keymark into additional markets that were unavailable in the past.
The press will add 32 million pounds of demonstrated capacity to an already impressive 88 million pound company wide capacity, while adding 55 new jobs in the Lakeland, Florida plant. This brings the total number of presses to seven (7) with circle sizes ranging from 6” to 14”, covering over 500,000 square feet of production space.
“For 46 years Keymark Corporation has prided itself on it’s commitment to the marketplace, and our investment in the new press again shows our leadership position and willingness to be a flexible, competitive partner to our clientele,” commented Wm L. Keller III, CEO and owner. The new press will allow Keymark Corporation to venture into new market segments, which until now didn’t have access to a 14” circle size press.
“The appeal of our new press capabilities, along with our ability to guarantee all aspects of a project, from alloy quality to finish and delivery, make us the only aluminum extruder that is vertically integrated in-house,” added Keller.
The new press comes complete with ancillary equipment that will enhance the speed and precision of the finish product: Edward’s Kevlar belt driven handling system, water quench system, automatic stacking equipment and line-stenciling capabilities.
