Keymark Corporation Transitions To New And Improved 6005A Alloy

Date: February 12, 2010

In our efforts to constantly work to improve our quality & service to our customers as well as controlling our internal costs, we have transitioned our structural 6105 & 6005 alloys over to the improved 6005A structural alloy effective with any new orders placed.  6005A alloy was developed to give an excellent combination of extrudability and mechanical properties that equals or surpasses 6105 & 6005 alloys (When ordered in T61 temper), while giving our customers a better surface finish.  This alloy is registered and recognized by the Aluminum Association.

6005A T61 has the same tensile, yield, and elongation as 6005 & 6105 alloys and has good corrosion resistance, weldability, formability, and responds well to finishing (Both painting & anodizing).

We are sure that you will be delighted with the quality of this new structural alloy and you can learn more by visiting our alloy & temper section of our web site or by contacting your Keymark Sales Representative.

We thank you and appreciate your continued business and we will continue to strive to be Your Aluminum Extrusion Supplier of Choice!

Respectfully,

Brent Slaton
