On June 13, 2013 Keymark Corporation successfully completed our ISO 9001:2008 surveillance audit conducted by BSI. During the three days our auditor was in Fonda, NY, the auditor spoke with individuals throughout the plant to understand and observe our Quality Management System (QMS) in operation. Specifically the audit focused on the processes in Thermal Break, Anodizing, Customer Service/Order Entry, and the Purchasing Department. At the conclusion of the audit, there were not any nonconformities reported by our auditor for our surveillance audit.
Next June, we will have our second surveillance audit that will focus on different processes and departments throughout Keymark. A lot of work was completed with the help of everyone at Keymark to achieve our initial ISO 9001:2008 registration and the subsequent completion of our first surveillance audit. In the next year, processes and procedures not currently documented will be addressed with the respective department managers and staff to improve upon the existing QMS.
