Chinese Imports Into the U.S. Down Significantly

Date: November 5, 2019 Since 2011 the U.S. aluminum extrusion industry has benefited from some of the most effective trade orders ever issued by the U.S. government.  During that time, Chinese imports as a percentage of market share has dropped from 25% to less than 1%.   Source:  AEC

Section 301 Tariff Increase To Be Decided in July

Date: May 17, 2019 US to consider imposing an additional 25% Tariff on Chinese aluminum products that would include extrusions will be decided on in late July.  This Section 301 tariff of 25% will be in addition to the already imposed 10% + tariffs from Section 232 on Chinese imported aluminum products.
